Hi, there.

I went to see "Awashima-do" temple.

This temple is located only 1 minute by bike from our shop ,"Rental Bike Fuune" . 

People have affectionately called this temple  "Awashima-san"  for a long time.   

In this temple there is a god to protect women, and pople wish for preventing female diseases, for having babies, and  for good meeting. 

 In front of the shrine, the big signboard saying " Ningyo Kuyo" , which means " memorial service for dolls' soul". 

People bring their precious dolls and have hold memorial service here.   

You wil see the many various dolls like Japanese traditional dalls "Ohina-san" and western dolls with pretty dressses. 

These dolls give us very spitirual and soulful impression.   

We can not find temples wirh so many dolls even in Kyoto, so "Asashima-do" temple is very unique of this point.
